Spinal Decompression is a state-of-the-art technique that uses a motorized table to stretch the spine and relieve stress on the vertebrae caused by herniated or bulging discs and pinched nerves. This non-invasive, non-surgical method relieves back and leg pain and can sometimes even prevent the need for spinal surgery.
How does it work? Studies have shown that it increases spinal disc height and relieves the pressure on the discs so that the herniated or bulging disc material can reposition itself. Herniated and bulging discs put pressure on the nerves, and this is what causes pain. When the pressure on the nerves is relieved, so is the pain. You can say goodbye to medications.
Spinal decompression improves:
- Back and leg pain
- Herniated discs
- Disc bulges
- Spinal stenosis
- And more…
Spinal decompression is not traction! It’s a much more advanced and gentle treatment that moves the vertebrae apart slightly. This allows the discs to move back into their rightful places. The gentle movement happens fast so that the muscles don’t have to time to go into spasm. For this reason, the treatment is painless.
When the discs are in their proper place, they receive sufficient blood, oxygen, hydration, and nutrition once again.
The Spinal Decompression Session
The session lasts about a half hour. We might include a chiropractic adjustment, application of ice, or massage to facilitate the treatment. More than one session may be necessary for optimal improvement and pain relief, but the results are usually permanent. Herniations can recur or new injuries can occur, but we can provide you with methods that promote spinal health and avoid recurrences.
